These  photos were taken , June 20, at the public tour of State Rep. Will Brownsberger's new home on Gilbert Street.  With two of his children in college, he and his family are downsizing.  The Brownberger's and his parents bought a two-family house which is being super insulated, and the details of that are shown in the photos.  Thirty-eight people attended the tour. The duplex has a high-efficiency gas heater, walls are insulated to R-40 and roof to R-60, super-efficient triple-insulated windows, energy-ventilating unit to circulate air, solar hot water, and will have a 4 kw solar array. Total energy usage for the two units of housing should equal less than 10,000 kw per year.
