Sylvia "Shevie" (Neiman) Tananbaum on November 17, 2011. Wife of the late Dr. Norman Tananbaum. Loving mother of Amy Tananbaum and Susan Tananbaum and her husband Joseph Frazer. Adored grandmother of Noah and Becca. Dear sister of Frances Rafkin and the late Evelyn Hurwitch. A graduate of the first class of Brandeis University and longtime owner of Handcraft House in Belmont and hyannis, devoted aunt, dear friend to many, and avid traveler. Services under the direction of Levine Chapels at Beth El Temple Center, 2 Concord Ave., Belmont on Sunday, November 20th at 2:15pm. Burial in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, Grove Street, West Roxbury. Memorial observance at the home of her daughter Amy, on Sunday following the burial and on Monday and Tuesday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Donations in Shevie's memory may be made to the Sylvia N. Tananbaum Youth Fund at Beth El Temple Center.
