The Belmont Police assisted the United States Secret Service and Salem NH Police on Friday, Feb. 15, in capturing a suspect wanted on felony charges of larceny and uttering counterfeit notes.

Gursat Otucu, 42, of Belmont, was charged as a fugitive from justice.

Otucu was taken into custody without incident at 4 p.m. Friday after he was found hiding out at the La Quinta hotel in Salem.

He was processed and later held on $25,000 bail as a fugitive from justice.
