Belmont Teen Arrested at Lexington House Party

Teen only person arrested at an "unauthorized" holiday get-together.

Last night in Lexington, a Belmont teen learned the hard way that the Beastie Boys don't always offer sage advice

In fact, when you're underaged and at an unauthorized and increasingly loud gathering on a Monday night in Lexington, fighting for your right to party is probably going get you arrested.

Just after 11:15 p.m. last night, Feb. 20, Lexington Police responded to a report of a loud house party at a Wood Street residence and arrived to find an unauthorized party at the home.

As the responding officers attempted to break up the gathering, attendees attempted to flee the scene, but one Belmont teen allegedly "got a little rambunctious" and would up getting arrested.

Jesse W. Larson, 17, of 23 Douglas Rd., Belmont, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. He also received a civil citation for possession of marijuana.

Larson was the only person arrested last night, according to LPD Capt. Manny Ferro, who said a police investigation into the incident is ongoing.

It’s unclear how many teens were attending the party, but Ferro said the gathering was “unauthorized” and the host’s parents were not home at the time.

Due to the home’s proximity to Route 128, Lexington Police received assistance from State Police in dispersing the crowd. As attendees left the home, one teenaged driver backed into a cruiser, causing minor damage, according to Ferro, who said that driver had been checked out and cleared by police to drive her vehicle from the scene.
