Letter To The Editor: Rogers For Rep

"Dave brings a strong background of knowledge and experience to many of the issues on which a bright, livable and economically stable future for our town depend."

On Nov. 6, I urge you to support Dave Rogers for State Representative.

Belmont has been fortunate to be strongly represented by Anne Paulsen and Will Brownsberger, proud Democrats with independent ideas, who have stood up for their priorities and worked with the House leadership and on their House committees to move them to legislative action. Dave Rogers will be a strong, committed advocate on Beacon Hill following in their tradition.

Dave has worked in both government and private industry and law practice. He is an attorney with professional experience in environmental protection, manufacturing, and the biotech and green energy fields. He brings understanding and substance to public service and will think creatively about many challenges facing our community and our state. His priorities include: investing to keep our schools strong; establishing a path to sustainable public transit and state-wide transportation infrastructure, both crucial to our economy; controlling rising healthcare costs which threaten the productivity and potential of local and state governments as well as private employers; and protecting our environment, both through ensuring enforcement of laws and supporting the new and growing green energy industry.

During his campaign Dave has reached out and knocked on thousands of doors to meet and listen to as many Belmont citizens as possible. He will be a hard working legislator, informed by and committed to his constituents. Dave brings a strong background of knowledge and experience to many of the issues on which a bright, livable and economically stable future for our town depend.

I have found Dave to be informed, thoughtful, articulate, and full of the energy and passion which effective public service demands. I hope you will join me on Nov. 6 in voting for Dave Rogers and sending him to the State House as our Representative.
