The dragon swept down Belmont Center's sidewalks, causing those who encountered its long red form to scatter in its wake.

But rather then lay devastation along Belmont's business hub, this dragon was happily saying the greeting: "Gung Hay Fat Choi."

As part of its annual celebration of the Chinese New Year, the children of Plymouth Nursery School on Pleasant Street - yes, they were the 'dragon' – took a walk around the Center to wish everyone a Happy New Year, many knowing the correct pronunciation.
