Question of the Day: Bike Sharing to Belmont?

We want your opinion.

Boston has joined countless European cities, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco and soon New York City by having a bike sharing program.

New Balance Hubway has placed 61 stations throughout the city where the public can purchase a membership (via credit and debit cards) for a long as a year to as short as a day and then use one of the 600 bikes for trips around the city. At the end of the journey, just park the bike at any of the stations.

Boston is using the same company, Alta Bicycle Share, that set up the bike-sharing program in DC and from personal experience, it's by far the best and easiest way to see and get around the nation's capital.

Boston and Alta Bicycle Share predicts the Boston network will be a big hit and will expand the system to 5,000 bikes and 300 stations running from Brookline to Somerville.

So, would you want to see New Balance Hubway make its way to Belmont?
