Record Breaking Car Wash Assists Boston Non-Profit

Belmont High's service club raised nearly $6,000 for Cradles to Crayons.

On March 30, the Belmontian Community Service Club partnered with Belmont Car Wash to raise money for Cradles to Crayons, which provides clothing and gear to poor and homeless children in Massachusetts.

The High Schoolers dried cars and were given all of the tips plus $1 for every car that was washed. This charity car wash was a record breaker, bringing in $2,836.

During the winter, the club raised money from the community at Shaw’s Market and sponsored days towear pajamas at each of the elementary schools as well as at BHS. With the $2941 were raised in these other activities, the Belmontian Club is giving $5777 to Cradles to Crayons this year.
