The Road You Said Needs Paving is ...

See what your neighbors have to say.

Last week, Belmont Patch wanted to know which road in Belmont rattles your car the most, forces you to tighten your seatbelt a little snugger or is one you just avoid all together.

Here are some of your responses from the comment section, e-mails and on social media.

Arlene said Bartlett Avenue should be repaved and some trees added too boot. JustSomeGuy noted that just about any Belmont road could fall under the criteria while the "Trowbridge Speedway" could use some attention, said Kman Sports.

Others noted Common Street ("it went from nice to rough in just a few years") and Belmont Street from Mozzy's to the Cambridge line.

But I have to join John Bowe who noted that "Palfrey is horrible." How true - turning from Common at the Methodist Church onto Palfrey, you travel from Belmont to a road resembling a Tibetian goat trail.

In addition, "Elm is also horrible, and it has a lot more traffic than many being paved in 2012," said Bowe adding that "Payson is getting bad quickly."

Tomorrow, we'll ask another question.

I think that person's comment about the Trowbridge Speedway was because it was just freshly paved, so they could go fast not like before when it was a very rough ride on road. Wasn't Elm Street just re-done like a year or two ago, or was that School Street where Elm crosses. And are more trees really needed... Aren't some roads bad because that's how the residents want them

Poplar Street really rattles my car a lot. But that might be because I drive 50 miles an hour as I use it as my personal high-speed cutthrough road in order to avoid the traffic light in Cushing Square.

My vote is with John Bowe's choices. Elm and Payson are a mess, as is Palfrey. Ii's pretty bad when you have to drive out or your way just to avoid a particular road. Also, would love to know how the town selects which streets get curbs and which don't.
