The Belmont Democrats are holding a meet and greet the candidate with US Rep. Ed Markey who is running for the US Senate seat now vacant after John Kerry was appointed US Secretary of State.

Markey will be talking to anyone interesting coming on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Patou Thai Restaurant, 69 Leonard St. in Belmont Center.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.

The event is free and all are welcome. The campaign does ask that people register so they’ll know how many to expect.
