Yes, We're Open! Irene Won't Close These Belmont Stores
If you're looking for the Sunday paper, coffee or getting your prescription filled, you're in luck.
Go ahead, Gov. Patrick. Declare a state of emergency.
Belmont Police, advise residents to stay inside until sunset Sunday.
And shut down the electric bus to Waverley Square, MBTA.
Despite what the Weather Channel has been calling it for the past four days – "The hurricane of our lifetime" – Hurricane Irene with its rain and wind will not stop several of Belmont's largest and most popular stores and eateries from opening for their loyal and hardy customers.
