Celebrate New Year's at the Library, Restaurants Set to Ring in the New Year
Events occurring in Belmont on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
• Ring in the New Year with the whole family at the Belmont Public Library's own New Year's Eve festivities. At 10:30 a.m., make a party hat in the Children's Room. At 11 a.m., Acoustic Brazil will perform Brazilian-inspired music for the whole family in the Assembly Room. And just before the clock strikes 12 (12 noon, that is) we'll countdown to "midnight" and have a ginger ale toast!
• Belmont restaurants are preparing their own celebrations for New Year's:
il Casale, 50 Leonard St., will have two seatings – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. – with three and four course meals ($55/$75) that will include sparkling wine and champaign. Those attending the second seating are invited to stay to countdown the New Year.

New Year's Eve at Savinos Grill, 449 Common St., will include a $78 fixed price menu in addition to regular entrees with sparkling wine included. Jazz with Paul Combs starts at 9 p.m.
• Town Hall and other town offices will hold regular hours New Year's Eve.
