Improv Troupe in the Little Theatre, Aged House Whiskey at Damnation Alley, Boys' Hoops at 7:30 PM

• Belmont High School's Performing Arts Company's Improve Troupe will be doing what they do best; improvisation! The show will start at 7 p.m. in the Belmont High School's Little Theatre. Free for all students and only $5 for adults.

Belmont's own Damnation Alley Distillery is releasing aged House Whiskey at 4 p.m. at its store/distillery at 7 Brighton St.  Aged three months in a five-gallon oak barrel, the House Whiskey is made from barley (Valley Malt), wheat and rye (Four Star Farms), and an heirloom corn variety called "Longfellow Yellow" (Mainstone Farm). The whiskey is available in both 375ml and 1 liter bottles. Retail hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays 4 p.m, to  9 p.m., Saturdays noon to 8 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

Playtime is a drop-in informal playgroup for toddlers and preschoolers, where both children and adults can meet new friends. From 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Belmont Public Library. Call the Children's Room at 617-993-2880 with any questions.

• Come watch one of the best boys' basketball teams in the area as Belmont High School hosts a tough Burlington High School team to the happy confines of the Wenner at 7:30 p.m.

• On this day 30 years ago in 1984, the first Apple Macintosh went on sale.
