Logan Airport Noise Meeting, Early Release for Middleschoolers, 1's Story Telling

Events occurring Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Belmont.

• Belmont’s two representatives to the Logan Airport Community Advisory Committee will be hosting an informational meeting at 7 p.m. in the Board of Selectmen’s Meeting Room at Town Hall. The reps will give a presentation to inform residents about recent changes in the arrival and departure procedures at Logan International Airport that are part of a nationwide program by the Federal Aviation Administration. 

• It's an early release day of all you Chenery Middle School students. Get ready to rush out the doors at 11 a.m. and invade the Center. 

• Belmont Public Library's Storytime for 1's is for walkers and toddlers under the age of 24 months. Share simple stories, songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes and puppets. The fun gets underway at 10:30 a.m. in the library's in the library's Flett Room.

• Heads up! There are still a few seats left on the bus of the Beech Street Center's Belderbus trip to the MIT Museum taking place on Thursday, Dec. 12, leaving the center at 9:30 a.m., and leaving the museum at noon. Admission is $5 for seniors; $4 suggested for the Belderbus. The Museum is featuring a number of exhibits that include Eight Einstein's: experience current research in visual perception by looking at some familiar faces in a new way and photographer Stanley Greenberg’s stunning black-and-white works on the strange world of nuclear and particle physics. This is a self-guided visit so you can linger at your favorite exhibit. Call 617-993-2980 for more information and to reserve a seat.
