5 Things: Teen Techs Start Today; iPad Tutoring

Events occurring in Belmont on Monday, July 8.

1. Beginning today, the Belmont High School Teen Techs are back to help patrons of the Belmont Public Library with e-readers, accessing the digital catalog, basic Internet help, how to make Facebook work better and other fun stuff.

One hour individual one-on-one sessions start today from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., starting today, Monday, July 8. Registration is required, and is available online or by calling 617-993-2870. 

2. The Beech Street Center now has iPad tutoring with David Ching. Sign up over the phone 617-993-2970 or in person for an appointment on Mondays or Wednesdays. There is a $10 suggested donation.

3. It's officially summer and what better time, when the evenings are long and warm, then to have a street party. Residents seeking to close down a segment of a public street for the purpose of hosting a neighborhood block party or public event can fill out this form and submit it along with a $25 check payable to the “Town of Belmont” to the Town Administrator/Board of Selectmen’s Office at Town Hall. Then it's up to you to have fun.
