Belmont Farmers Markets' Final Weeks Are For Stocking Up

As the Belmont Farmers Market is in its final month of the season, today is a good time to plan for cold weather when fresh produce is limited. Pick up an extra supply of storage vegetables like squash, onions, and potatoes.

So what's in season? Well, apples, of course. In addition so are beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celeriac, celery, garlic, herbs, kale, leeks, lettuce, melons, onions, parsley, parsnips, pears, potatoes, pumpkins, raspberries, rutabagas, spinach, swiss chard, turnips and winter squash

Today's occasional vendors are Aruna's DelightsCoutts Specialty FoodsSara Ran Away With The Spoon and Turtle Creek Winery, joining the regulars.
