Concord Avenue, Waverley neighborhood Under Road Work Watch
Leonard Street in Belmont Center continues to be closed late in the morning.
The reconstruction of roads and infrastructure continues at a furious pace throughout Belmont as the construction season grows shorter with each passing day.
The repairs on the 12-inch water main on Concord Avenue adjacent the Underwood Pool will require cars on the busy roadway to share a single lane for about 200 feet, reducing traffic flow.
Over in the Waverley/Town Field neighborhood, town contractor H. Perkins Construction will be working until Thursday, Oct. 10 on finishing the scheduled road reconstruction for the year. It will be working on:
• White Street (Trapelo Road to Grant Avenue)
• Grant Avenue
• A Street
• B Street
• C Street
• Hawthorne Street
• Cambridge Street
• Davis Road
• Harris Street
• Irving Street
• Sycamore Street (White Street to Trapelo Road)
• Springfield Street
• Park Road
• Dalton Road
• Hamilton Street
While you will be able to ride your vehicle on most of the roads, be aware of the raised manholes which could cause driving mishaps if run over.
And the Belmont Center reconstruction and infrastructure replacement program continues from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
