Freezing Fog, Rain to Hamper Monday Travel in Belmont
Freezing rain advisory will stay in effect until 1 p.m.
The combination of freezing fog and widespread rainfall will lead to light ice accumulations on Belmont roadways and sidewalks beginning early Monday morning and lasting until the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service which issued a freezing rain advisory until 1 p.m.
The advisory means that periods of freezing rain or drizzle will cause travel difficulties so drivers should use caution while driving.
Belmont residents who are traveling for work or the holidays will encounter icy conditions on roads within the Rt. 495 area in eastern Massachusetts.
