It's a 'Royal' Boy! Now What Should He Be Named?

It took a while but now the most anticipated event is: what should be his name?

It's a boy!

Yes, I know that Americans severed its ties with the United Kingdom 237 years ago but it was still exciting that the third in succession to the British crown was born today to the Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – sorry, not next door from Belmont – and her husband, Prince William. The boy – who will be known as the Prince of Cambridge – was born at 4:24 p.m., (11:24 a.m. Eastern) weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces (!).

Now, what should he be named? William, after the first English king and his dad? George? Edward? How about something out of the ordinary? David (after William's favorite footballer, David Beckham)? Ringo? Harry (which is the most popular name in Britain)? Butch? Lumpy?

(Editor's note: I was hoping for a girl because my favorite name would have been Charlotte.)

So, add your favorite name on the Comment section of Belmont Patch.
