Limited Parking at Belmont Farmers Market As Summer Harvest Continues

The laying of a new gas pipeline through the heart of the Claflin Street Municipal Parking Lot will make a large number of parking spaces unavailable for this week's Belmont Farmers Market. 

Those driving to the market should consider alternative parking on nearby side streets or in Belmont Center. 

This week's occasional merchants are Still River Winery, Coutts Specialty Foods, Sara Ran Away with the Spoon, Nobscot Artisan Cheese, Aruna's Delights and the regular vendors.

This week is the last Market Day when the market will be closing at 6:30 p.m. Beginning in September, the market closes at 6 p.m. due to the coming darkness. 

In the Events Tent

• Vicki Lee's, the Cushing Square bakery and restaurant, will offer samples at 2 p.m.

• The Farewells return for a second performance this season at 4 p.m.

• Stories about farms and food for preschoolers at 3:15 p.m.
