Belmont Art Teachers Put Their Talent On the Wall ... And Floor

The show will continue until Oct. 20.

Belmont students have been acknowledge for several years with awards and honors locally and state-wide for their art work.

Now those who direct and educate those students are placing their own art on the walls, and one on the floor (a wonderfully-painted chair by Katharine Kelley) of the Belmont Gallery of Art.

This past Friday, Sept. 20, a large crowd enjoyed the artist reception for the exhibition "Off the Clock," at the Gallery.

Working in a mix of media including oils, acrylics, fiber, photography, printmaking and mixed media, the teaching artists exhibiting include Kelly, Kathleen Byrnes, Danette English, Regina Kalajian, Catherine Larkin, Sarah Libertini, Mark Milowsky, Nicole Pond, Kristen Ripley, Andrew Roy and Kathy Jo Solomon.

This year's "Off the Clock" is a revisit of a similar show in 2008 that was met with a great deal of community enthusiasm.
