Who Let the Blue Dogs Out? That Would Be the Payson Park Music Festival

The concert gets underway around 6:30 p.m.

If you like the blues, rock and dogs, then come down to this week's Payson Park Music Festival concert as the Blues Dogs will be performing tonight in Belmont.

The Dogs are "a collection of Boston mutts that all love to play the blues. We especially like that rowdy, danceable stuff about how 'my nasty habits are ‘bout to get the best of me.' That stuff that gets you to tapping your foot, nodding your head, and then just to shaking all over. Feeling good music," according to their website.

A sample of the music covered will be from the Allman Brothers, Coco Montoya, Buddy Gy, Robert Cray and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

The concert is free and suitable for all ages at Payson Park located a few blocks off Belmont Street at the intersection of Elm Street. There is off-street parking at the park and it is also accessible by the Number 73 (Waverly Square) bus line from Harvard Station.

Tonight's concert is sponsored by the Alper Family: David, Pam, Megan, Brian and Adam.
