A Fenway Park Made of 28,000 Legos

Just in time for opening day.

Legoland Discovery Center Boston has upped the ante.

On Wednesday, we posted its replica of the Boston Public Library, which was built with 6,350 Lego bricks.

Now, the center, which opens Friday, May 23, at Somerville’s Assembly Row, is unveiling a 28,000-brick replica of Fenway Park.

The replica will be unveiled Sunday, April 6, at the stadium, before heading to its permanent home in the center’s “miniland.”

The Lego Fenway, complete with 800 cheering fans, is 12 square feet and 60 pounds. It took 450 hours to construct (watch the time-lapse video above).
