Belmont's il Casale Opening Sister Bistro in Lexington

Second suburban eatery for Belmont native.

Having a hard time getting your favorite table at il Casale, Belmont's top-rated restaurant? Well, don't pout local foodies as your dining dream will soon come true: a second il Casale is coming.

On Monday, the Lexington Board of Selectmen approved a liquor license transfer from the former Nourish restaurant to il Casale's owner, Belmont native Dante de Magistris, according to Lexington Patch.

The new restaurant will occupy Nourish's location at 1727 Massachusetts Ave. in Lexington Center. The liquor application anticipates a spring opening of the second il Casale.

de Magistris and his two brothers opened il Casale on Leonard Street in the town's former firehouse in April 2009, three years after the brothers opened Restaurant dante in Cambridge. Since its opening, the restaurant has garnered numerous awards including Boston magazine's 2012 Best of Boston award for excellence for suburban restaurants.
