Set on the waters edge of Lake Wakatipu in the heart of beautiful Queenstown, this bar will leave you wanting more and more. Come Summer make the outdoor deck your afternoon base, come winter kick off the skis and its apres by the fireplace... A seasonal Wine Menu featuring Central Otago finest & Hawkes Bay favourites. Cocktails created by top mixologists offering up Classics or our own amazing creations. Simply Delicious. Add a back bar bursting with Premium Spirits and a Beer selection of craft, local, and worldwide pours... we have it covered. Accompany your drink with some hand made tapas, sit back and enjoy Queenstown’s best live music and your night is done. As the clock ticks the bar comes to life and the bartenders begin the theatre of what The Boiler Room Bar is famous for... dancing on tables and making friends for life.

These are the words you can read in The Boiler Room’s official website.  I have been in the place for quite a lot of times and I am confident to say that they do live to their promise.  I love to hang around here at one of the Queenstown’s most appealing cocktail bars.  Aside from the live band that will keep you hopping, another reason why I love this place is that it is very cozy here, surprisingly I feel relaxed whenever I’m chilling here.  There’s this very comfortable space, an outdoor deck to make the most of the summer.  There is also the indoor fire if the weather is cold.  We go here because this is a nice après-ski destination.

In addition to their very comfortable ambiance, I also love to go here because of the people.  Staff are very friendly and even the patrons are without airs.  This bar is very popular to locals, always very busy.  If I’m on a tight budget, I can still come here and enjoy because they have happy hours and promotions.

Of course I go here for the food too. They are generally tapas style, hand prepared in the kitchen.

If you like 80’s music you will definitely enjoy hanging out here on weekends, well for me it’s a bit cheesy but maybe you have different taste in music compare with mine.
