5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 22

Town offices close early, library won't open until 1 p.m. and Starbucks in the Center is shut down. But Germany is playing.

1. Today marks the first Friday of the summer in which Belmont town offices and departments will be closing early at 1 p.m. The summer schedule will continue to Friday, Aug. 31.

2. The will be closed this morning and until 1 p.m. due to staff training. It will then open its doors until the scheduled closing time of 5 p.m.

3. The is closed for renovoations until July 3. The Belmont Patch office will now transfer over to Brugghers and the library.

4. Come by the at 1 p.m. for an afternoon of dancing led by David Ching. Participate in open ballroom and line dancing or just watch and listening to great music. No reservations required, just drop in for some fun.

5. The Belmont Patch editor will be away from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to witness the German National team, "Die Mannschaft", take on Greece in the quarterfinals of the European Championships. Please, no emergencies during this time.
