1. Here is some real fun. The Apollo Club of Boston is the the second-oldest continuously-active men's singing group in the United States. Founded in 1871, the chorus today is made up of 30 Boston-area business and professional men. It's the type of close harmony singing that is popular at the turn of the last century, in the big band area (think "The Modernaires") and today with the television show, "The Sing Off." See them perform for free at the Beech Street Center, 266 Beech St. at 7 p.m.

2. Tonight, get a chance to grill the first finalist for the one-year interim superintendent's position, Dr. Michael Harvey, who is the current Belmont High School principal, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the's Large Community Room.
