Deck the Halls! Belmont's Holiday House Tour Today

Belmont Garden Club hosting event were patrons visit five homes decorated for the holidays.

The holiday house tour: They have become staples of the Christmas season throughout the region: Concord, Ipswich and Salem have theirs and Nantucket's attracts thousands from the mainland. 

And now Belmont has its own Holiday House Tour called "Deck the Halls!" which will take place today, Dec. 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hosted by the Belmont Garden Club, the tour will feature five distinctly different Belmont homes each decorated to celebrate the  joys of the holiday season and the traditions of the family in residence.

From the arts-and-craft style to Louis XIV, the beauty of each home is enhanced by the talents of Garden Club designers and members using various greens and floral materials to create inspiring displays in entry ways, dining rooms and other living areas. This is sure to become a holiday tradition.

Tickets (non refundable) at $35 per person, if still available, can be purchased today at the Belmont Public Library.

Tickets must be in your possession and shown to Garden Club members at the library beginning at 10:30 a.m., to pick up the maps of the featured homes. No maps will be available prior to that time.

Coinciding with the tour, Savino's Grill at 449 Common St. in Cushing Square is featuring a special three-course luncheon menu for $29 per person, only available on Dec. 8. For luncheon reservations only, please call 617-484-3499.
