Free Flu Vaccine Available at Belmont Savings from 4 PM to 7 PM

Shots to be provided from from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Belmont Center main branch.

Today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. is the first of two days in which the Belmont Savings Bank will be offering free flu shots at their main office in Belmont Center at 2 Leonard St.

Mount Auburn Hospital will provide nurses to administer the vaccine.

Belmont Savings approached Mount Auburn to partner with the Belmont-based bank on the initiative which comes at a time when many area pharmacies have seen their stockpile of flu vaccine empty due to increasing demand for the shot.

Given the branch’s location in the town's business hub, the bank has offered its space to work with Mount Auburn Hospital for this service to residents in Belmont and surrounding towns.

Shots will be available for adults over the age of 18, and teenagers ages 13 to 18 with parental presence and approval.
