Limited Subway to Resume at 2 PM Sunday, No Bus Service in Belmont

The Red Line routes from Alewife and Harvard Square will run limited schedules beginning today, but no bus service in Belmont. Full MBTA service will resume Monday morning.

Limited subway and bus service will resume this afternoon at 2 p.m.

But if you're in Belmont, you'll need to get to the stations on your own as popular bus lines to Harvard Square and Alewife Red Line stations will not be running Sunday.

The Orange and Red lines will run on limited schedules, and the Blue Line will run between Orient Heights and Government Center, according to a post on MBTA.com/weather.

The Green Line will run between Kenmore Station and Lechmere Station.

Limited bus service along the 1, 23, 28 and 39 lines will run as well as the Silver Line on Washington Street only.

“Unless necessary, customers are encouraged to stay home and use service sparingly,’ the post says.

The MBTA will restore full service across all lines beginning Monday morning.
