Tell us your experience.

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake centered in central Virginia about 80 miles from Washington DC hit the East Coast around 1:40 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Buildings shook from the nation's capitol – where government, private and university buildings were evacuated – up to New York City where people filled into Times Square and Wall Street. Even the Toronto City Hall has been evacuated.

Reports say that the 30-second quake was felt in Boston and Belmont.

So, did you feel the 'quake? Do you have friends who experienced the shaking? What were you or your friends thinking?
