METCO Director to Keynote Belmont's King Community Breakfast

Annual event supports METCO students at Belmont schools.

Jean McGuire, executive director of METCO, Inc., the Metropolitan Council on Educational Opportunity, will be the keynote speaker at the annual Belmont's Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast which will take place on Monday, Jan. 21 from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Belmont High School cafeteria.

There will also be reflections by METCO alumni of the Belmont schools. 

Music by provided by gospel singer Darlene Wynn and award-winning Berklee College of Music faculty member Nichelle Mungo.

Supervised activities with Mr. S. for children 6 to 11; while childcare for those under 5 will be provided by the Belmontian Club. 

This event will have sign language interpreters.

Registration is now underway for the event. Tickets are $5 per person and $10 per family. Proceeds will go to benefit the METCO Support Fund.
