A leaking water main near the roundabout at Grove Street has closed Washington Street from Bright to Watson roads.
Department of Public Works crew is replacing the pipe and the work should be done during the day, according to workers.
In other road work, Concord Avenue is reduced to one lane each way from the Belmont Public Library to the First Armenian Church due to scheduled paving of the road where infrastructure repairs were made during the summer and fall.
