Despite what the Weather Channel has been calling it for the past four days – "The hurricane of our lifetime" – Hurricane Irene with its rain and wind will not stop several of Belmont's largest and most popular stores and eateries from opening for their loyal and hardy customers. 

Below are just a few of the businesses who will be or hope to be open   Sunday. Call your favorites before heading out.

Open
