Little Red Riding Hood

Powers Music School’s annual Once Upon a Time…Music and Stories program is almost here! Two performances of Seymour Barab’s one-act opera for children, Little Red Riding Hood, are scheduled for Sunday, December 16 - at 3 pm and 5 pm.

Join us on this comical musical adventure, as Little Red Riding Hood journeys through the forest and encounters a hungry Wolf who has a strong distaste for sweets but a healthy appetite for other things! But don't worry - a happy ending is in store in this heartwarming musical tale. Clever Little Red Riding outwits the Wolf, and learns some important lessons along the way!

The performances feature three accomplished, professional singers: Camila Parias, soprano; Vanessa Schukis, mezzo-soprano; and Rob Woodin, baritone. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 (free for age 2 and under). For kids in grades K – 5, but all are welcome!
