Maerose Pepe of Belmont in PIPPIN at Boston Children's Theatre July 19 - 21

The winner of four
2013 Tony® Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, PIPPIN is truly magical and
extraordinary!  Boston Children’s Theatre
(BCT) is proud to present this thrilling musical to showcase the talents of 14-year
old Maerose Pepe of Belmont.  PIPPIN will be performed July 19, 20
and 21 at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA.



Cast in the role of ‘Player’
in the ensemble, Maerose is no stranger to the stage.  She has appeared in The Pajama Game and And Then
There Were None
with Watertown Children’s Theatre as well as The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and The Glass
Slipper
at Ogunquit Playhouse.  At
Chenery Middle School, she has been seen in Once
on this Island
and Working, and
in Bye Bye Birdie at First Church
Belmont. 



With a score by
Stephen Schwartz, composer of Godspell
and Wicked, and book by Roger O.
Hirson, PIPPIN follows a young man
on his journey to find meaning in his life. Will he choose a happy, simple
existence or risk everything for a moment of glory?  Featuring such songs as “Corner of the Sky,”
“Magic to Do,” “Glory,” and “Morning Glow,” PIPPIN is directed by Lisa Yuen, director of BCT’s 2012 Studio 3 production
of Legally Blonde, with choreography
by Blair Beasley and Brianna Fallon, and music direction by Jaime Castellanos.

PIPPIN will be performed with 2 casts totaling 58 students between the ages of 9
and 14 at The Governor’s Academy, 1 Elm Street, Byfield, MA.  Maerose will be performing Friday, July 19 at
7:30 pm, Saturday, July 20 at 2:00 pm and Sunday, July 21 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are $20 and $15 for adults and $15
and $10 for students.  For tickets and
