Powers Festival Orchestra - Open Sessions for Interested Adults

Adult musicians are invited to join the newest ensemble at Powers Music School, the Powers Festival Orchestra. Conducted by American opera and orchestra conductor Channing Yu, this exciting orchestra is designed to develop and enhance ensemble performance skills and is open to all adult musicians in the community. The orchestra plays repertoire from the baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary, and pops literature. October 6, 7-9 pm, will be an open reading session for all interested adults at the Cabot Room at Powers Music School, 380 Concord Avenue, Belmont. Please bring your instruments. Powers Festival Orchestra Conductor Channing Yu will discuss how this orchestra, with its weekly rehearsals, listening sessions, performance strategy discussions, and other activities, will help participants with varying levels of experience learn and refine the skills for effective ensemble playing. We hope that all participants will discover the joys of playing in a chamber orchestra! Questions?
