Who hosts International Visitors in their home?

Here at Global Immersions Homestay we often are asked by international visitors, language schools, university programs and group program leaders; Who are your hosts? and What are they like?

The simple answer is, individuals who live in the Boston area within walking distance to public transportation with an extra bedroom and who truly enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

The more complicated answer is that our hosts come from all walks of life.  Our host network includes “traditional” nuclear families, single parents, couples, single professionals, empty nesters, retirees, multi-generation homes, and friends, people who live in large homes and people who live in smaller homes or apartments.  Our host network represents the fabric and diversity of Boston including people of all different ages, nationalities, races and religious backgrounds.

What our hosts have in common is an extra bedroom in their home, a safe environment and a passion to share U.S. culture with an international visitor.

If you are someone who enjoys interacting with people from different cultures, sharing your own lifestyle and you have an extra bedroom in your home, you might be a great host!
