MassBay Presents the Third Annual All-Vehicle Show May 18th

Proceeds to benefit student scholarships

MassBay Community College will host the second annual All-Vehicle Show on Sunday May 18th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at their Automotive Technology Center, 250 Eliot Street in Ashland.  Rain date is June 1st.  The event is free and open to the public.  Registering your vehicle costs $10.   

The show features vehicles of all genres – from 1930s roadsters to 1970s muscle cars.  The audience will vote for the top 25 and the People’s Choice Award, and MassBay alumni will vote for the Alumni Choice Awards.

“This is a terrific event that brings out a lot of people from the region, and a lot of phenomenal vehicles,” said Howard Ferris, Dean of MassBay’s Division of Transportation & Energy.  “And while we all enjoy spending the day admiring the vehicles, we also don’t lose sight of the reason we’re there: to raise needed funds for student scholarships.”

MassBay’s Automotive Technology program is unrivaled in New England.  Featuring BMW, Toyota/Lexus, General Motors, and Chrysler, Dodge/Ram/JEEP, students learn on the latest vehicles using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. The program boasts a hands-on paid co-op program, enabling students to learn in professional settings while earning money and college credit simultaneously.  Ninety-eight percent of the graduates from MassBay’s Associate Degree in Automotive Technology programs are working in the automotive field within six months of completing their degrees.

MassBay awards associate degrees and certificates in over 70 academic programs in a wide range of career-driven subjects such as business, computer science, life sciences, health care and the liberal arts. The College’s facilities in Wellesley Hills, Framingham and Ashland house day, evening and weekend classes that meet the needs of degree-seeking students and career minded life-long learners. Many courses are also offered online. Since its founding in 1961, MassBay has been accredited by several governing bodies and strives to meet the needs of the diverse local communities it serves.  Registration is now underway for summer session, which begins on May 19th, and for fall semester, which gets underway on September 2nd.
