What is up with the high school swimming pool? It has been closed for over two weeks. The high school swim team, Belmont dolphins and Bats swim teams pay for and count on this facility for their programs. The town is looking for a $2.5 million dollar debt exclusion from taxpayers to fund a new summer pool at a total cost of $4.5 million. Yes, $4.5 million for roughly 3 MONTHS OF USE. If the town is going to ask taxpayers to fund a new pool at that price tag, it should be a YEAR ROUND facility. Please see the following link on how a nearby town found a creative way to build a state of the art pool in their town. http://www.waylandenews.com/forum/showthread.php?111-Wayland-Community-Pool-Town-Meeting-Article-19
