Why I Support Will Brownsberger

I met Will about a decade ago when I was a precinct captain for Belmont’s Chenery Middle School debt exclusion campaign, then had the pleasure of working with him while I was on the School Committee and as a vice president for Belmont’s Foundation for Belmont Education.  Will’s commitment to improving education for all students has been unwavering and his dedication to this important issue is part of the reason I support Will and volunteer for his campaign.

But there’s a bigger reason:  Will is the real deal.  He doesn’t manufacture glossy mailings in response to what a pollster tells him to do.  What you get in the mail wasn’t created by a mailing house—it’s just Will, explaining his positions in the careful way he always goes about making decisions.  Sometimes you won’t agree with him.  That’s ok—call or email him.  His communication with his constituents is second to none.   People who know Will weren’t surprised when The Boston Globe declared that Will sets the standard on openness and transparency.

All of the candidates are committed to working on crucial issues like women’s rights, equal pay, marriage equality, climate change, education, and sensible gun control.  But only one candidate is not taking thousands of dollars in lobbyist or PAC money and that’s Will Brownsberger.
