Belmont Declares Snow Emergency Beginning 6 PM Friday

No on-street parking or using municipal/school lots; violators will be towed.

The Belmont Police Deparment has declared a snow emergency for the town in preparation of the arrival of what some meterologists are calling a historic nor'easter blizzard.

The emergency will be in effect from 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.

Under the town bylaws, parking is not allowed on all roadways and Municipal parking lots in Belmont.

Vehicles on streets or lots will be towed to allow the Highway Department to clear the entire width of the roadway.
