Masked Woman Holds Up Trapelo Road Convenience Store
Witness grabs description of get away car and its tag number.
A masked woman packing a semi-automatic handgun robbed a Trapelo Road corner store Wednesday evening, Dec. 10 but a quick-thinking witness obtained the car's license plate number the crook used to make her get away, according to Belmont Police.
Officers are investigating the armed robbery at LC Variety located at 326 Trapelo Rd. in which the suspect – described as a black female, medium build, roughly 5 feet in height, wearing a black hoodie and a mask – produced a black, semi-automatic handgun and a demand for the money in the cash register. It is unknown how much money was taken from the till.
A witness saw the suspect fled down Walnut Street in a green 2005 Hyundai Sonata with Massachusetts license plate 651RF2.

Wednesday afternoon was not the first time LC Variety has been targeted by armed robbers. Ten months ago, a gunman and his accomplice robbed the Central Square convenience store at the corner of Walnut Street on Feb. 12.
The Belmont Police are advising citizens no to approach this vehicle if seen, but to call 911 and advise police of its whereabouts.
