An Evening With Fifth Congressional Democratic Candidates Tonight in Watertown

The Belmont and Watertown Democratic Town committees invite the public to attend "An Evening with the Democratic Candidates" for the Massachusetts 5th Congressional seat tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 10,

The forum will take place at the Watertown Middle School at 68 Waverley Ave. in 
Watertown. 

The evening will consist of a two-hour panel discussion from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and then a meet and talk with the candidates from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The candidates include State Sen. Will Brownsberger (Belmont), State Sen. Katherine Clark (Melrose), Middlesex County Sheriff Peter Koutoujian (Waltham), political scientist and author Martin Long (Arlington), Paul John Maisano (Stoneham) who runs Blackstone Enterprises, State Rep. Carl Sciortino (Medford) and State Sen. Karen Spilka (Ashland).

The panel's moderator will be George Bachrach, president of the Environmental League of Massachusetts and a former Watertown State Senator.

The Belmont Media Center will be taping this event for broadcast on channels 8 (Comcast) and 28 (Verizon) on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. Following that date, it will air on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 5 p.m.
