Belmont's Mitt Romney expected to cruise to victory in Mass.

With no campaign events or media, Bay State seen as safe for former governor.

Belmont's Mitt Romney is expected to cruise to an easy victory tomorrow, March 6, in the Massachusetts primary where none of the Republican candidates for president decided to campaign.

“It’s almost about who comes in second,” Frank Talty of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell told the Boston Herald.

“I can’t say I’ve seen any campaigning by Santorum, Gingrich or Paul,” he said.

And while many political watchers will eye the voting in Ohio, Georgia and Tennessee where the former governor will be in tight races, the delegates Romney is expected to win in the Bay State will go a long way in securing a delegate lead that his challengers – Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul – will find hard to cut into.
