Belmont Seeks Two to Serve on Town's New Financial Task Force

Help determine the financial future of Belmont.

The Belmont Board of Selectmen is seeking two residents who would be interested in serving on the Town’s new Financial Task Force, a 13-member working group which will review financial topics and develop a long-range financial and capital improvement plan for Belmont.

The task force, which will consist of two citizen representatives, elected officials, committee representatives and town staff members, will complete its task within a year. The members will be doing a majority of its work in subcommitteesincluding Education, Revenue Opportunities, Capital Projects, Town Government and Financial Projections. The Task Force will hold monthly meetings in addition to when the subcommittees convene.

If you are interested in serving, fill out a copy of the "Community Volunteer Interest Form" that is available on the Town of Belmont website or at the Selectmen’s Office in Town Hall, and return it to the Town Administrator with a resume and cover letter expressing your interest in the position.

Completed applications should be returned by Friday, Sept. 27.
