Final Candidates List Out, LWV Announces Candidate's Night

Candidates list including all those running for Town Meeting; League event on March 22.

With the annual town election less than six weeks away, the ballot of candidates is finally ready and the first "meet the candidates" night as been set. 

• The Town Clerk's Office has released the final candidates list of residents who will be on the April 2 town election ballot.

The list, in a pdf document on his web page, includes all the candidates for Town Meeting by precinct as well as those running for town-wide office. Find out who of your neighbors are running for election in April.

• The Belmont League of Women Voters will be holding its annual Candidate's Night, this year at the Chenery Middle School on Thursday, March 22 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The night will begin with a community get together were Town Meeting candidates will have a chance to mingle with voters by precinct. Then at 8 p.m., each candidate will be introduced, one-by-one, to the community.

At 8:10 p.m., candidates for town-wide office will be introduced, be given time to make a speech and then will answer questions from those attending the meeting.
