Gingrich Moving Closer to Romney in Polls

As Thursday night’s GOP debate in South Carolina draws near, the Boston Herald is reporting that candidate Newt Gingrich is gaining ground in the polls against frontrunner Mitt Romney.

The Herald quotes Robert Livingston, identified in the article as a Gingrich supporter, as saying that Gingrich is “peaking at just the right time.”

Reports earlier this week showed Belmont native in the Palmetto State, and , according to a CNN poll.
