told Belmont Patch yesterday that he will be running to fill the state senate seat of Steven Tolman who will become the state's AFL-CIO president next month.

Brownsberger said that one of the main reasons he is running is that he'll have "a louder voice" to expand his ideas and to help the communities in his district including Belmont, his home for the past 19 years.
