Republicans Holding 'Meet the Candidates' Nite

Candidates for state Senate and state House of Rep for Belmont meeting in Watertown.

The Watertown Republican Town Committee will host a meet the candidate night on May 21 in Watertown along with other area Republican groups.

The event will be held a Marine Corps League Shutt Detachment, 215 Mt. Auburn St., at 7 p.m.

Candidates running for seats in Belmont include , who is running for the Second Suffolk and Middlesex State Senate Seat against incumbent Democrat Will Brownsberger.

Also scheduled to attend will be who is running for the open seat in the 24th Middlesex State House District – last occupied by Brownsberger before he was elected to the Senate in January – which includes all of Belmont's precincts.

The evening begins with the meet and greet, which will be followed by a question and answer period.

The event will be hosted in conjunction with the Boston Republican City Committee, the Belmont Republican Town Committee, the Cambridge Republican City Committee, the Greater Waltham Tea Party and the Waltham Republican City Committee.
